The speed test application gives us a great advantage to test live connections. Which also works on checking a recently connected dual router setup.

Does what is advertised.

I started using this at home to diagnose network issues, but as a frequent traveler use it even more. It lets me check the hotel/conference internet to figure out what I can expect in terms of speed to choose the best service (Skype, mobile, video, etc) before the call.

This is a good app that does exactly what it is supposed to do! Personally, it shows me graphic proof of the poor coverage AT&T / U-verse provides in my home! Despite service calls to deal with the fact I cant even get wi-fi coverage in parts of my home, no improvement! (And no, I dont have a huge home or lot - just a normal 3 bedroom family home!) AT&T advertising is misleading at best!

If you run a speed test with optimum they will give you all the numbers except latency. This is the equivalent of telling you how fast Usain Bolt runs the 40 yard dash without mentioning the amount of weight on his back or that the race is in mud. This is a number (Latency) that the cable companies dont want you to know and, therefore, I love it. I called the cable company to complain that my internet was lagging while gaming and their suggestion was run a speed test using THEIR website. Which again omits latency. This is a non bias app that gives you all the information you need in order to make an informed decision or the weapons to raise hell when necessary. Internet is NOT cheap and you should get what you pay for... this app will help you get that.

I have several speed test apps, and this is my favorite. Will gladly pay the $0.99 for permanent ad removal out of appreciation to the developer.

This app has worked very well for me. I like the feature that keeps a record of the tests one has done. Very user friendly and intuitive.

This is a handy app to have, especially if youre having download speed issues with your ISP. Theres no substitute for having hard data to give to the support people when you call with a complaint.
